We are happy to accept clean and uncontaminated waste from our customers. Our fully calibrated weighbridge has a 50 tonne weight limit to accommodate all your waste disposal needs, simply come into our site and tip your waste, it's really as easy as that.
We accept a wide range of waste in order to fulfil all your waste management needs. Our prices vary depending on waste type and quantity. We price per tonne.
Please note: you will need a waste carriers licence to use our services and PPE (High visability jacket/vest) is essential whilst on our site

What types of material waste are available?
Here at Towens, customers can purchase materials from us on our weighbridge to get loaded up at our site to take away. These materials include:
- 20mm/40mm scalpings- £33.00 per tonne.
- Recycled type one- £30.00 per tonne.
- 4mm lime sand (grit sand)- £40.00 per tonne.
- Road plannings £22.00 per tonne.
- Crushed concrete- £18.00 per tonne.
- Screened top soil- £40.00 per tonne.
- As dug top soil- £25.00 per tonne.

Do you accept domestic seating waste?
Domestic seating waste is also known as POPS waste.
If you believe the content of your skip includes items with any part made of or containing leather, synthetic leather, other fabric or foam you MUST inform Towens on arrival.
You must segregate these items from other mixed wastes due to the likely presence of Persistent Organic Pollutants.
We will direct you where to tip those on site, in a dedicated bay or skip.
Some common examples of domestic seating waste include:
- Sofas
- Sofa beds
- Armchairs
- Kitchen and dining room chairs
- Stools and foot stools
- Home office chairs
- Futons
- Bean bags
- Floor and sofa cushions
Do you accept waste that contains asbestos?
We cannot take in asbestos. Please do not attempt to tip asbestos waste at our site.
Do I need a waste carriers license to use your weighbridge services?
Yes, you will need a waste carriers license in order to use our weighbridge, waste management and recycling services.
What are the weighbridge opening times?
Monday – Thursday: 8am – 4pm
Friday: 8am- 3pm
Saturday – Sunday: Closed
